We must create a world where all immigrants can safely exist and thrive, regardless of their country of origin, age, or background.

Hi John,
June is Immigrant Heritage Month!
In June, we want to take the time to celebrate and honor every individual in the immigrant community – from our staff at Immigrants Rising, our blood and chosen families, to our mentors, friends, and those we hold close to our hearts. Our diverse journeys to build a new life in the U.S. would not be possible without immense strength, resilience, hope, and a collective understanding of what it takes to survive and thrive.
In a time when immigrant communities and our rights are constantly under attack nationwide, it is clear that there is a need to fight harder than ever for a stable and brighter future. This includes protecting DACA, its over 500,000 recipients, and a million more DACA-eligible immigrants. We must simultaneously reimagine and create a world where all immigrants can safely exist and thrive, regardless of their country of origin, age, or background. This vision can only become real through our collective efforts, understanding that it takes a village to realize transformative change. As part of the Home is Here Coalition, we urged Congress for permanent protections for immigrants ([link removed]) at the Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on May 8.
We recognize the hard work of immigrant rights movement organizations and coalitions that work side-by-side with us to ensure progress for all immigrants. More notably, we are part of the following coalitions to move forward immigrant rights:
* Home is Here Coalition ([link removed]) , with Immigrants Rising leading the Economic Justice Working Group
* Economic Mobility for All ([link removed]) , co-sponsored by Immigrants Rising and the California Immigrant Policy Center (click here ([link removed]) to join the coalition)
We have also compiled a few resources that you might find useful:
* Beyond DACA ([link removed]) : Compilation of resources to help prepare for a future without DACA.
* Find Your Ally ([link removed]) : Free immigration legal services for California Community Colleges students, their immediate family members, faculty, and staff.
* Informed Immigrant’s Legal Help Resources ([link removed]) : Includes maps for DACA support and service organizations.
* Advocating for Inclusive Work Policies ([link removed]) : Helps explore ways employers can continue to support DACA employees.
* Mental Health Grounding and Reflection Toolkit ([link removed]) : With journal prompts to process and identify practical ways to decrease stress and anxiety in any situation.
We are reminded that our togetherness and collective efforts drive us forward, whether for our individual accomplishments, successes in our families, or large-scale progress for the entire immigrant community.
Fighting alongside you,
Your community at Immigrants Rising
