With convicted felon Donald Trump at the top of the GOP ticket, we’re bracing for a barrage of MAGA-led attempts to undermine our democracy in November.
In North Carolina, Republicans are using their veto-proof supermajority to pass extreme voter suppression bills and allow sympathetic “election observers” to swarm voting centers.
In Nevada, Donald Trump just filed a lawsuit to literally “stop the count” of mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day -- even if they were mailed prior. We all remember the infamous tweet:
Winning elections at the ballot box is our first priority. But we need to be ready for the likelihood that some of the biggest races in the country are decided in the courtroom too.
Legal expenses can become costly in a hurry, especially with Republicans strategizing to spread lawsuits across the country. Not to mention the challenges Democrats place to stay on offense.
