I just learned that Donald Trump has been found guilty in his New York trial, and I wanted to send you my immediate reaction.

Here’s what I think: First off, this is a sad day for our democracy. A former President (and the GOP’s nominee for President in 2024) has been found guilty by a jury of serious felony crimes.

No one is above the law, and justice has been served. Donald Trump needs to be held accountable like any other convicted felon like him.

That being said, it’s too early to know what comes next. We don’t know his sentence, and that’s a very important piece to the puzzle.

We also don’t know what this means for November’s presidential election. The MAGA base is about to come out swinging like never before. This campaign is not over, far from it.

One thing we do know though: we cannot let this man have control of our government. That means we have to fight back NOW to keep him from controlling Congress.
