[link removed] [[link removed]] John, the verdict is in: a New York jury just unanimously found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 charges.
This makes him the first former president in US history convicted of a felony.
The conviction of a former leader is a sad day for any country, but this is also a hugely important victory for accountability and the American justice system, and we can’t take that for granted. For the first time in our country’s history, a jury made up of regular Americans has convicted a former president of crimes.
The jury heard the extensive evidence from Trump’s business associates and determined that Trump falsified records in order to hide information from the American people ahead of the 2016 election. This is serious criminal conduct, and the evidence was overwhelming – beyond any reasonable doubt.
It’s appropriate that Trump has now been held accountable in a court of law. After an apparent years-long crime spree, some accountability was overdue.
But John, this is far from the end of the fight for accountability.
CREW is fighting to hold him accountable for all of his crimes, and we need your help → [[link removed]]If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
