Not only did the Governor of Maine recently sign a law making the state a sanctuary for medically transitioning minors through “gender-affirming care…”
…but now we’re engaged in yet another legal battle with a radical school district on behalf of our client, Shawn McBreairty.
Shawn McBreairty – a citizen journalist and father – posted an article reporting how the Brewer School Department shut down a student-led petition drive that garnered hundreds of signatures seeking to change a policy allowing boys in the girls’ bathroom.
The school immediately threatened Shawn with a lawsuit if he didn’t remove his article.
John, no way, no how will we let bureaucrats install radical policies in schools and then rob students and taxpayers of their First Amendment right to speak out about it!
That’s why we filed a Preliminary Injunction on Shawn’s behalf.
Now we need your help to escalate this fight to higher courts as needed to defend Shawn and the First Amendment.

Since you’re one of our best supporters you may remember Shawn – the loving father who was treated like a criminal for speaking out at a school board meeting, where he criticized the sexually-charged materials being taught at his daughter’s public school in Maine.
Shawn didn’t like the woke curriculum and did what any good parent would do – he stepped up and fought for his daughter’s education.
But when he showed up to a RSU22 school board meeting to ask questions, the board banned him from future meetings and from even stepping foot on school property.

Now here we are again, gearing up for yet another legal battle with the neighboring Brewer School Department.
