National has delivered on our core promise to New Zealanders. Tax relief is coming and will take effect 31 July 2024.

Whenever I speak to people around the electorate, the conversation inevitably turns to the cost of living and the pressure businesses are under to stay afloat.

Our tax package targets relief to low and middle-income households. 

It gives average income households up to $102 a fortnight, plus FamilyBoost childcare payments of up to $150 per fortnight for eligible families. A retired couple receiving superannuation will be better off by around $9 a fortnight, rising to around $18 in 2025, and around $26 in 2026.
