Dear John,
Breaking news: Donald Trump has been found guilty on 34 felony counts in the New York voter deception trial.
Trump is now a convicted felon, found guilty by a jury of his peers for criminally falsifying business records to cover up a fraudulent scheme leading up to the 2016 election to keep voters in the dark about his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Now, Inequality Media Civic Action is launching a major rapid-response effort to get the truth out about who Trump really is and to explain to voters why this conviction should disqualify him from ever returning to the White House — and we’re aiming to raise $50,000 in the next 12 hours to help supercharge this effort.
Will you donate $5 to help get the truth out and explain to the American people why Trump’s felony conviction should disqualify him from the presidency?
For all the wall-to-wall news coverage about this trial, most Americans still don’t really know the facts about the case, and the mainstream media has done a terrible job explaining the trial, framing it as a “hush money” case about sex with a porn star.
But when the voters understand what this trial was about — deceiving voters on the eve of the 2016 election and continuing a cover up from within the White House — it reinforces their views of Trump as a liar who will do anything to seize power. And public opinion research shows this verdict will have a significant impact on who Americans will vote for, if they know the truth.
The next 24-72 hours will be critical to lock in public perceptions of this conviction and could determine the outcome of the election, and Trump and his right-wing media allies are frantically spinning the verdict as illegitimate.
We’re fighting back by pushing out a flood of videos and posts to the 22 million people we reach on social media each week to make sure voters understand why Trump’s voter deception conviction should disqualify him.
Will you donate $5 to help get the truth out and explain to the American people why Trump’s felony conviction should disqualify him from the presidency?
Thank you for joining with us,
Robert Reich
