John, we are thrilled to share some incredible news with you!
As you know, Lauren is a dedicated member of the House Appropriations Committee and tirelessly strives to bring crucial federal resources to northern Illinois.
This week, Lauren announced a round of $6 million she secured in federal funding to support environmental site assessments and cleanup efforts right here in Illinois, including the City of Mendota, and the North Central Illinois Council of Governments in IL-14.
This funding will play a vital role in cleaning up contaminated properties, prioritizing brownfield sites, conducting environmental assessments, developing cleanup plans, and engaging our communities in various revitalization projects.
A large portion of this investment, $3.5 million to be exact, is allocated for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to expand their capacity for cleanups in underserved areas across the state.
This funding will not only eliminate hazardous pollutants but also generate well-paid jobs and breathe new life into our neighborhoods, ensuring a brighter future for our children.
John, Lauren can't do this important work alone — she needs your support every step of the way.
By contributing to Lauren's campaign for reelection, you are playing a pivotal role in ensuring that she can continue securing the resources and legislation that benefit IL-14 and working families nationwide.
Will you stand with us and support Lauren by making a donation today? Our May fundraising deadline is coming up quickly and we are short of our goal by $2,628.
Thank you for your generosity and standing with us as we build a cleaner, healthier Illinois.
