As one of the original founders of the Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition (SEEC) in Congress and a long-time co-chair, I am so proud of the progress we have been able to make towards implementing pro-environment initiatives to make a difference in people’s lives, protect our planet and fight climate change.
When SEEC was originally founded in 2009, we only had about 35 members. Since then, we have grown to over 90 members strong who are united in our mission to enact good environmental policy. But as the climate crisis rages on, our work is not done - in fact, electing more SEEC members has never been more important than it is today.
John, I’ve seen what we can do when we work together to pass legislation like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and the Inflation Reduction Act - which are creating thousands of good union jobs in the climate sector and helping reduce our emissions so we can meet our goals under the Paris Climate Agreement.
But we have to keep fighting to turn the tide of the climate crisis, protect our clean air and water, and push for environmental justice. We can’t do any of this or continue making progress without my amazing colleagues in SEEC leading the fight in Congress.
Thank you for helping us continue to grow our ranks!
- Rep. Gerry Connolly
Thanks to your help in 2022, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 118th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future. But if you'd like to receive fewer emails, we understand. You can click here to only get our most important messages, or you can unsubscribe.
