Glenn Youngkin is breaking records as Virginia’s Governor – and not in a good way.

Last session, Youngkin vetoed a record 201 bills, bringing his total vetoes as governor to 242. There’s only one explanation for such an unprecedented level of obstruction – extreme partisanship.

It’s not just the quantity of the vetoes that’s a problem. Among the bills that were struck down was one to secure the right to contraceptive medicine. Another would have added new gun safety measures to keep our communities safe. Another still would have raised the minimum wage for our working class. The list goes on and on.

So, how do we fight back? By breaking our own records. That’s why we’re trying to raise another $1,200 by the end of the month to help us prepare to take on Glenn Youngkin, the far right, and whoever else tries to block progress for Virginians.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished in the House of Delegates and the State Senate. But I also see that progress is threatened by politicians who care more about beating the other side than they do moving us forward. Instead, I’m in this for you.

I’m running to be a Lieutenant Governor who gets things done rather than shuts them down. It’s that mindset that brought me to the State Senate to defend women’s reproductive freedoms. It’s what made me successful in defending our voting rights. And John, it’s what will make me an effective leader as Virginia’s next Lieutenant Governor.
