Rep. Van Duyne Reintroduces Bill to Prioritize Mothers Over Abortion - Rep. Van Duyne recently reintroduced the “Caring for Mothers Act” to empower pregnant mothers who choose adoption over abortion. The Caring for Mothers Act would give women access to health care by allowing families who are adopting a newborn child to put the pregnant mother onto the adopting parents' insurance plan during the time of the pregnancy and for one year postpartum. 

Equal Parenting Voted as TOP 15 Legislative Priority at 2024 TX GOP State Convention - The issue of Equal Parenting and passing Equal Shared Parenting laws in Texas was voted a top 15 Legislative Priority at the 2024 Texas Republican State Convention in San Antonio, TX this past weekend. Equal Parenting laws protect parent-child relationships as fundamental rights by making equal shared (50/50) parenting, including custody and access, the starting point for all fit, willing, and able parents, and by reforming child support so that it considers the time and income of both parents.

American Energy Groups Applaud Sen. Cruz Introduction of Legislation to Strike Down Natural Gas Tax - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz introduced legislation to repeal the Natural Gas Tax included in the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act, which would otherwise raise costs for energy customers and create a new burden for American families struggling with historic inflation. Sen. Cruz’s bill specifically eliminates a new methane emissions fee created by the law.
