Trainings Brought To You

Crises happen. Even in a crisis, campaigns and getting information out about your cause costs money. Candidates and organizations have to raise enough money to kickstart their efforts even if there is a crisis happening.

While fundraising is hard in a crisis, fundraising isn’t impossible. It is still possible to raise the resources your campaign, nonprofit or organizations needs, if you ask the right people.

Our training tomorrow, Tuesday April 14th at 7 p.m. (Central time / 6 p.m. Eastern) will help you kickstart your fundraising efforts by building a strong fundraising plan which will help you raise money for your campaign, your cause or your organization.   To RSVP to participate in this important training live, or via replay - Click Here.

Whether you are a current candidate or aspire to help your local elected leader or future candidate win, we hope our trainings will help you plan, organize and ultimately make a difference in your own community.   If you have any questions or would like to suggest a training topic, email our team at [email protected].

Best Regards,

Building Support:  Tanya Simons
April 9, 2020  BY: EMILY BAER

Don’t fall prey to the misconception that only career politicians can make a difference in their country and in their community.

Many times, the changes that are most directly impactful are those that originate from passionate individuals with a love for their community right in our own backyards.

Tanya Simons had developed an interest in politics after a childhood and young adulthood spent debating policy with her brothers. As an adult, she was already invested in her community through the volunteering, coaching, and mentorship positions she held before she had two children. So when an opportunity to run for her local school board arose, she saw the position as a way to further serve the children and the families in her area.

“It felt like the right time to jump in and make a difference,” she said.

Topic:  Campaign Crisis Series: Voter Registration in a Crisis - Registration Voters Must Continue
Jennifer DeJournett, Executive Director Minnesota

RSVP:  https://www.americanmajority.org/events/webinar-campaigning-in-a-crisis-voter-registration-in-a-crisis-registering-voters-must-continue/

In a crisis, circumstances can change quickly.  College students move home, people may consolidate residences and others may decide to vote who never considered voting before.  Additionally, your campaign must adapt to changing conditions and revise your voter registration tactics to match the realities of what is happening in your community.

It is never more important to make sure your campaign is continually checking to make sure your supporters who are eligible to vote are registered to vote plus you must help those that have relocated register to vote at their current home.  Voter Identification and helping individuals register to vote is the difference between winning and losing. Because whether there is a crisis or not, those that has the most votes wins.

This training will focus on teaching you how to effectively run a voter registration program, provide accurate information about voting and how important it is for your campaign to make sure you are providing accurate information to your supporters.
