John, I wanted to reach out personally to tell you about a press conference we had last week in Lansing, Michigan — the location of one of the most recent federal investments in clean car infrastructure.
Before I tell you more — are you on board with the transition to a clean car future? Let me know here.
The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) launched a new multi-million-dollar ad campaign with claims that have been repeatedly debunked by neutral fact-checkers. So we gathered in Lansing to push back on these false narratives to deliver the facts.
Here’s the truth:
- The Biden Administration is NOT banning gas cars
- Existing cars already on the road will in no way be affected
- Auto manufacturers could meet stronger pollution safeguards in different ways, but we expect EVs will be one of the most popular choices for companies and consumers alike

Listen, John, these ads are airing on local TV stations and on digital platforms in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, Wisconsin, Montana, Texas, and Nevada – to no surprise, several of these are swing states in this year’s election.
This is exactly what you get when big oil starts to spend big money in our elections. We cannot let their lies spread any further. Add your name if you agree:
