Fight for a Union

**************************
John,

When I worked at Dollar General, I felt unsafe every. single. day.

My manager wouldn't stop sexually harassing me. He'd send me aggressive messages constantly.

The equipment we used to unload heavy products was busted. A can of food fell and crushed my foot.

And they understaffed us so bad that it was often just me and my sister working late into the evening. The doors were always open: we had no idea who might walk in. There weren't even security screens for us to watch.

We've had enough. While the bosses count their profits at their shareholder's meeting, we're rallying outside to tell them: we make you millions, and we're done being exploited. Share our action now to spread the word >> [[link removed]]

And get this: after all they put me through, I was forced to transfer to a different store. Dollar General did end up firing the manager but they never apologized for how my manager treated me.

The problem is that across the board -- from Dollar General to McDonald's to Popeye's to Amazon -- CEOs only care about their money. The playbook has always been to keep power from workers like me, especially low-wage workers of color. When we're down, CEOs can stay on top and rake in the profits WE MAKE for them. That's why I fight for a union: because together, we're stronger than the bosses.
