Framework: Layers of Support | In NASN's revamped School Nursing Practice Framework™ (Framework), the graphic illustration now consists of layers of support for school nurses and those we serve. The Standards of Practice principle is now depicted as the foundational layer of practice and performance standards necessary to provide legally sound, evidence-based, clinically competent, quality care. The school nurse and all activities represented by the four overlapping practice principles rest upon this foundation of Standards of Practice. Students, surrounded by their family and school community, remain the center focus of the Framework. | |
