On Wednesday, it was reported the U.S. Army will delay the Limited User Test of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) at White Sands Missile Range due to COVID-19 concerns. Soldiers who had been training at White Sands Missile Range for weeks to prepare for the test have returned home. The test that was scheduled to begin on May 15 and has not been rescheduled yet.

On Thursday, it was reported Huntington Ingalls Industries started fabrication of the third Arleigh Burke-class Flight III destroyer. This signifies the first 100 tons of steel have been cut for the future USS Ted Stevens (DDG 128).

On Sunday, Saudi coalition air defenses intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis on the Yemeni northeastern governorate of Marib. The Patriot missile defense system was used to intercept the missile. The Houthis also launched another ballistic missile on Saturday that fell near the house of a tribal sheik in the al-Wadi district. The two launches come after a two week ceasefire was started on Thursday.
