Hi John,
This Saturday supporter from around the country will gather in Nottingham with a lineup of international speakers for our national event, From Plunder to Solidarity.

If you can't make it to Nottingham, we'd love for you to join us online and watch the livestream.

We’ll be grappling with crucial issues for the future of our planet the and people on it, and important ideas for understanding how we can bring about change - as well as celebrating our win on the campaign to get the UK out of the Energy Charter Treaty earlier this year.

** Watch From Plunder to Solidarity online
------------------------------------------------------------
* When: Saturday 1 June, 11.30am for the opening plenary
* Live streaming link: [link removed]

We'll leave it running all day until the 6pm close, but there will be several breaks when nothing will be happening. See the programme ([link removed]) - only the sessions in the main hall will be streamed. Please also note that the online event is for livestreaming only, the chat will not be enabled.

** More about our event
------------------------------------------------------------
Earlier this year, we forced the UK government to pull out of the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT), a bill of corporate rights in the energy sector that has become a major obstacle to climate action. With other countries leaving too, the ECT is on its last legs. The rules of the global economy prioritise the interests of billionaires and their corporations at the expense of people and the planet, but our ECT win shows we can dismantle them.

At From Plunder to Solidarity we’ll look at the way the global economy works, and the ways in which we in the global north are locked into a way of life which depends on ecological destruction. There’ll be an opportunity to hear from speakers involved in fighting free trade deals and extractivism, to get to grips with our campaign for a Fossil Fuel Treaty, and to understand the alternatives being proposed by social movements, such as food sovereignty.

We hope you'll be able to join us.

In solidarity,

PS, if you think you can make it to Nottingham, there is still time to register for the event ([link removed]) .
** It’s time to stop big corporations ruling our world
------------------------------------------------------------

While much of the world suffers from a cost of living crisis, the five biggest corporations are earning more than a quarter of the world's population. We exist as part of a global movement to challenge corporate power and promote sustainable alternatives.
