Medicare Action Alert

We all want health, independence, and economic well-being. Obesity threatens all three.

Obesity is linked to over 230 medical conditions and is responsible for an estimated 400,000 deaths each year. Despite this, Medicare is currently prohibited from covering medications proven to help individuals achieve significant weight loss.

The Treat and Reduce Obesity Act [[link removed]] would allow Medicare Part D to cover the full range of obesity treatments, including nutrition counseling, behavioral therapy, community-based programs, and FDA-approved anti-obesity medications.
