If I have the honor of becoming your next senator, I will bring the same approach and leadership I brought to the people of Maryland when I was governor.
NEITHER Republicans nor Democrats can count on my vote in the Senate.
That’s because I won’t just fall in line and do whatever my party says. If either side wants my vote, they’ll have to do what is right for MARYLAND.
Your donation won’t just be critical to reaching this goal, it will also play an instrumental role in funding my campaign so we can keep our ads on air and get my message out to every voter.
As I’ve said before, I don’t come from the performative arts school of politics–I come from the get-to-work and get-things-done school.
That means I will never play partisan political games or say anything to keep my job. I will always put Marylanders and their priorities before Washington politicians.
Let me be clear: we cannot fix Washington without independent, common sense leaders, and that is exactly what I will be in the Senate.
We can use all the help we can get as we begin ramping up for the busy summer months before Election Day.
Your contribution will enable us to hit our monthly goal, which means we can produce new ads, make more campaign stops across the state, and work harder than ever to get ahead of my opponent.
Please consider chipping in before the end of the month.

Subject: JUST RELEASED: Watch Gov. Hogan’s New Ad
To: [email protected]
John,
Gov. Hogan just released a new ad and we want you to watch it now.
In order to win this race, we need to reach every voter with Gov. Hogan’s message and combat the attacks coming from his opponent. That means having the funds to keep our ads on air. This is a critical, but expensive part of running a Senate campaign so anything you can chip in will make an important difference.
Governor Hogan wants to make one thing clear upfront: in the Senate, Republicans can’t count on his vote.
But then again, neither can Democrats.
Governor Hogan isn’t in this Senate race to fall in line with a political party. If either side wants his vote, they’ll have to do what is right for MARYLAND – not what they think is right for their side of the aisle.
That’s exactly what Gov. Hogan did while serving as your governor, and it’s exactly the kind of Senator he’ll be.
The reason is simple.
We cannot fix Washington without independent, common sense leaders who bring people together.
Extreme partisanship and inaction have held us back for too long. Many Washington politicians simply choose to argue with each other instead of getting anything done for the people.
Governor Hogan is a different type of leader. He’s running for Senate because Washington is broken, and he’s ready to get right to work with bipartisan, common sense solutions to finally fix the mess.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!
