** Southwest Gas Contributes $65,000 To The AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund
------------------------------------------------------------

PHOENIX — Governor Doug Ducey announced today that Southwest Gas has contributed $65,000 to the AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund. The fund, established by Governor Ducey, will provide financial support to organizations working to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19, including funding of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline medical personnel; supporting non-profit organizations that help vulnerable Arizonans through food banks, homeless shelters, domestic violence facilities and other services; and expanding technology access for low-income students to help them transition to online learning.

“My thanks to Southwest Gas for their generous contribution to support Arizona’s efforts to combat the Coronavirus and provide assistance to those in need,” said Governor Ducey. “We need everyone—government, nonprofits and the private sector—working together to get our state through this, and I’m grateful to leaders like Southwest Gas for setting the example.”

“Individuals, families and businesses throughout the state are feeling the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Southwest Gas Corporation President and CEO John Hester. “The AZ Coronavirus Relief Fund is providing much needed support to the organizations working to help Arizonans, and we encourage others to do what they can to help those serving on the frontlines.”
