Looking back over the first few days in April, I can't help but feel immense pride for the work this team has put in to fulfill the mission of VoteVets and stand up in defense of the rights and lives of our veterans and military families in the face of Donald Trump and his reckless behavior.

When Donald Trump and Acting Navy Secretary Modly removed Captain Brett Crozier from his station for simply demanding better for the crew on the USS Roosevelt -- we were ready. Just like when we fought against Donald Trump's military parade or stood and defended Lt. Col. Vindman after he baseless dismissal, we were ready.

This time we launched a massive petition garnering over 80,000 signatures from vets, their families, and allies to our movement. We launched persuasion campaigns online that reached millions of people and brought awareness to what was going on. And because of you and supporters like you, we stood together in demanding better conditions for service members who put it all on the line every day to defend and protect our country.

Last cycle, we ran ads defending Tammy Baldwin against attacks saying she was bad for veterans. We almost flipped the Florida Senate race against Rick Scott. We made a massive impact in Michigan.

This year, we're hoping to build on our victories and double our efforts. We only need four seats to take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell, which means our endorsed veterans running for Senate -- Cal Cunningham, James Mackler, Mark Kelly, Amy McGrath, and MJ Hegar -- could be the key to doing just that.

Meanwhile, we'll still be running a major accountability effort to keep Donald Trump and his administration in line for the rest of the time he's our Commander-in-chief, much like we did in the first few months of this year and the first few days of this month.

Now more than ever we must fulfill our mission. Thousands if not millions of civilians and service members are counting on us to be successful in everything that we do from now until November and beyond. Consider chipping in $3 today to make sure we have what we need to do just that.
