Check in with Mardy the Moose!
Long time no see, friends! I spent most of February, March and April alone, browsing for food and relaxing.
As the temperatures are warming up and the plants are turning green again, you may see some of my moose friends starting to venture out more. I am beginning to explore more, too!?
Don?t believe me? Well, I?ve got proof!?
On May 4th, I attended the second annual Mule Deer Days event in Rock Springs, WY. This event is all about conserving mule deer. My fellow ungulate friends need lots of support, so it was worth the long journey.?
While there, I learned new skills, met new friends, and promoted mule deer conservation; what?s better than that?
I walked through the main hall and met so many wonderful people. We shared high-fives, hugs, and lots of selfies.
Then, I found the Inspire A Kid hall out back.?
The hall was filled with fun activities! There were air rifles to shoot, bows and arrows to try, an obstacle course to conquer, a poaching case to solve and various pelts to identify.
It was a whirlwind of a day, but it sure was fun. I?m already looking forward to the next Game and Fish event to attend.
If you want to be pen pals or share the photo(s) you have taken with me at past Wyoming Game and Fish Department events, please submit letters or photos here!
