Jack, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, most private health insurance plans must cover all FDA-approved methods of contraception, but they can require a prescription first.
Send a letter to President Biden: Over-the-counter birth control must be covered by insurance–no prescription required.
SIGN THE PETITION
The Biden administration must make clear that over-the-counter birth control like Opill, purchased without a prescription, must also be fully covered by all insurance plans, including Medicaid and other public insurance plans. Over-the-counter access to birth control pills is not a replacement for insurance coverage of contraceptives.
Insurance coverage for all forms of contraception would reduce unnecessary barriers to affordable access, especially for young people and people working to make ends meet.
The Biden administration must immediately take action to ensure Opill (and any future over-the-counter birth control!) is fully covered.
Send a letter to President Biden and his Administration asking them to require insurance coverage of all over-the-counter contraceptives — without a prescription.
