John,

Donald Trump is attacking one of our most important government institutions — the United States Postal Service.

The national shut-down has hurt USPS. It is bringing in less income, and the working conditions have become much more difficult. The organization needs financial support. But while Trump and the Republicans are providing billions and billions to their favored companies, they hate the Postal Service.

Trump even said he wouldn’t sign the stimulus bill—which provided an essential lifeline for the unemployed and small businesses—if it included support for the Postal Service.

The attack on USPS is an attack on all of us. The Post Office is one of the rare public programs that unites the country. It provides an essential lifeline for rural America, and for millions of people who rely on medicine delivery. Our elections increasingly depend on vote by mail. And hundreds of thousands of Americans—some of our most trusted public servants—work for USPS.

We need you to take action. Please sign our petition to save USPS today — and send it to everyone you know. [[link removed]]

When I am in Congress, I will fight hard to keep USPS running. Let’s protect our public institutions — and make sure government works for the people.

Fighting for you,
Mike Siegel
