Get this, friend:
Three of our main opponents collectively spent over $6.5 MILLION lobbying against climate action during the first quarter of this year.
Despite that, we are still defeating them over and over again — in fact, 13 of our 14 priority bills that needed to be voted on by last Friday passed their respective house!
That is a pretty incredible success rate considering how much money and power EnviroVoters and our allies are up against. It proves how much of an impact it makes when we prioritize bills and run targeted advocacy campaigns online and on the ground in Sacramento.
But our work isn’t done. Policy committees are meeting this week as recently passed bills move over to the next house and two-year bills that were stalled last year come back up for votes.
We are on the brink of making world-changing policies a reality, friend. We know how to get all these bills passed — our track record proves it! — but with corporate polluters spending millions to stop us, we are asking for your renewed support. Even just a few dollars will really go a long way toward aiding our efforts to pass transformative legislation »

Chevron spent over $3 million on lobbying between January and March of this year. The Western States Petroleum Association spent almost $2.5 million during that same time.
Corporate polluters are scared of our progress — and they keep losing.
For instance, the Assembly passed AB 1866 to safeguard communities from the urgent threat of idle oil wells, and the Senate passed SB 1221 for zero-emission alternatives to gas pipeline replacement projects.
Plus, these bills don’t just affect California. Governments throughout the country and all over the world watch to see what California does, as a global climate leader with the world’s fifth largest economy. When California leads, others follow.
None of this would be possible without our ace legislative team in Sacramento, who met with DOZENS of offices of target legislators to get our bills over the finish line, or our multifaceted digital advocacy efforts. But we only have the resources to do this kind of tactical, effective work because of the generosity of people like you, friend.
Please consider making a gift to power our climate advocacy work. Your support fuels our success, which has global ramifications!
