The 2025 Mental Health, Chemical Dependency and Therapeutic Court (MHCDTC) Tax Program (Treatment Sales Tax) Request for Proposals will open on June 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visit the *Kitsap County Bid's page [ [link removed] ]* to view details. Proposals will be accepted through 9 p.m. July 2, 2024.
Approximately $8.6 million will be awarded for projects or program services delivered between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Approved by *ordinance in 2013* [ [link removed] ], funding from a 1/10th of 1 percent sales and use tax is designated to be distributed annually to service providers, businesses, and organizations administering mental health, substance abuse, and therapeutic court projects and/or programs in Kitsap County.
All proposals must use Treatment Sales Tax funding solely for the purpose of providing for the operation or delivery of chemical dependency, mental health treatment or therapeutic court programs and services. Programs and services include,* but are not limited to*, youth mental health and treatment services, housing that is a component of a coordinated chemical dependency or mental health service, behavioral health stabilization, treatment services including gambling, case management, and transportation.
The 2025 Treatment Sales Tax funds will be allocated through a Request for Proposals:
