John, in just a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a small contribution [[link removed]] in support of my Senate campaign before our May fundraising deadline.

But first, I wanted to give you a quick update on our work on the Senate Judiciary Committee, with some exciting news:

While Republicans’ fragile and chaotic control of the House majority has hindered the kind of big legislative progress in this Congress that we saw in 2021-2022, the Democratic Senate majority you helped keep intact in 2022 has now helped President Biden surpass President Trump in the number of federal judges confirmed at comparable points in their terms.

Last week, the Senate confirmed the 200th federal judge nominated by President Biden . And John, our highly-qualified, diverse slate of confirmations to the federal judiciary is finally starting to look more like America:

Nearly two-thirds are women
62% are people of color
30 of 42 circuit judges are women, including several reproductive rights advocates
And I will always celebrate Supreme Court Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman seated on the Supreme Court of the United States

My Democratic colleagues and I are working every day to advance progress on every front imaginable. Not everything we do will generate headlines or lead the nightly news, but our efforts are helping to create the more just, loving nation that I know we can become.

Whether it be through confirming this highly qualified, diverse bench of judges in the federal judiciary, or our many other efforts working alongside the Biden Administration to serve the American people, your support helps me to keep making this progress in the majority.

So with just a few days left until our May fundraising deadline, John, here is the part where I have to ask: Will you pitch in a contribution of $3 or any amount today to help continue this important work like our efforts on the Senate Judiciary Committee? [[link removed]]

It is not repeated often enough: Your financial support through emails like this one was a part of the most successful Democratic midterm Senate elections under a Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I hope our efforts confirming these 200 federal judges and counting — what could end up being one-quarter of the federal judiciary with unprecedented levels of diversity — show just how much your support matters.

I hope you found this update to be a bit more insightful than the typical fundraising email. I will keep you posted with more of these important Senate developments. More soon.

With love and gratitude,
