[link removed] [[link removed]] Yes, this is a fundraising email. But please hear me out:

We have a monthly fundraising deadline in just two days. We’re under attack by leading GOP super PACs. And we need more help from our grassroots team to hit our benchmark. If that’s all you need to hear, and you’d like to make a donation (THANK YOU!) here’s a link to do so →

But listen, if you’re burned out from candidates constantly asking for your support, or you just need to hear more about me before you’re ready to personally invest in this campaign, I get that. Really, I do. (Representatives are not immune from receiving, or getting exasperated by, campaign emails!)

The fact is, I’m incredibly proud of the campaign we’re running, because no one on this team has any patience for empty soundbites. I certainly don’t. This campaign is about real progress, real results, real action.

That’s what I’ve tried to deliver throughout my time in Congress.

While some of my colleagues were busy trying to come up with the most outrageous tweet they could in the hope of getting on cable news, I was passing laws to create new jobs and new opportunities for Kansas families — and fighting as hard as I could to prevent extremists from succeeding when they came after abortion rights, LGBTQ+ rights, our democracy, and our access to health care.

And, honestly, I’m proud of all I overcame to get where I am.

Most people didn’t look at me — an LGBTQ+ Native American woman who was raised by a single mom — and think “Future Congresswoman.”

When I announced I was running against a Republican incumbent here in Kansas, a lot of pundits thought I didn’t stand a chance.

But we fought through and won that race — and I know we can do the same thing this year, if we put in the work.

This deadline, in just 48 hours, is a big test for us. It’s a test of whether our grassroots team has the power to go up against the dark-money groups determined to beat us. And it’s a test of whether our campaign will have the resources to fight off attacks — and stop the Kansas GOP from replacing me with an anti-choice extremist.

So that’s why I had to send you this email, and that’s why I’m asking you to join me in this fight. If you’re with me, I hope you can help me out with a donation before Friday’s big deadline.
