We are PROUD of our great city and region - and ready to celebrate the full rainbow of people that make this place so truly great. Join us this Pride month because we're here, we're queer, and our survival is an act of joy, defiance, and solidarity.
This year, you're invited to march with us in the Capital Pride Parade on the afternoon of Saturday, June 8. Bring your family and friends along as well!
Queer justice is fundamental to the vision we have for the Greater Washington region. That vision cannot be realized without creating -- and claiming -- space for the joy of Pride in our community. You've heard about it in this article by the fantastic Wyatt Gordon and this article by the amazing D. Taylor Reich. So, get excited about queer urbanism, and then join us at the DC Pride parade to celebrate each and all of us.
If you'd like to march with us, RSVP here. We'll then reach out to you closer to the day with specifics on what to bring, where to meet up, and all that fun stuff.
The parade is a family-friendly event -- last year the kids walking with us had a ball! We'll also have craft supplies for everyone to make posters and decorate their bikes.
