Last month, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to set up the supports to give some crucial relief from the economic shock of the pandemic.

While this bill is not perfect - it's just the first step of many in what will be a long recovery - it does make sure the help goes to the people who need it.

The relief in this package flows to workers first, not last. and it makes clear to any industry getting relief: no stock buybacks, no executive giveaways, no layoffs. Putting working people and families first is how we as a country can get back on our feet, and prioritizing their needs over the profits of giant corporations is how we build an economy that works for everyone - not just a wealthy few.

There are a lot of great resources in this bill, and I want to make sure that you know how to access them.

So, I've put together a website to give you information on the CARES Act and how to access the support you need.

As state officials and the federal government work quickly to implement the changes enacted in the CARES Act, I will provide regular updates and share resources on the website as they become available.

If you have any additional questions and need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me on my website.

Stay safe. Stay strong. I'll be in touch soon.
