Hi John,
What if the stories we saw on screen reflected our own care stories? We’re excited to invite you to a virtual film screening with two short films that do just that – and we hope you’ll join us there.
We’re bringing together world-renowned ballet dancer Misty Copeland, Emmy-winning producer Leyla Fayyaz, and award-winning filmmaker Liz Sargent for a special screening of short films Flower and Take Me Home . It all happens online on June 5 at 4PM PT/ 7PM ET via Zoom. Reserve your spot now. [[link removed]]

We’re so excited to share two incredible stories about how multicultural families navigate the caregiving journey. Here’s a little bit about each film:
Flower , starring Misty Copeland, highlights intergenerational inequity in the community of Oakland, CA and tells the story of a dancer who puts her dreams on hold to care for her mother who is living with dementia.
Take Me Home , by Liz Sargent, follows the journey of two sisters dealing with the challenges of accessing disability care in the wake of a family medical emergency.
After the screenings, I’ll chat with Misty, Leyla, and Liz, about their timely films and the common theme of care that unites us all. We’ll also have a Q&A session so you can share your questions with the filmmakers.
This is our first event in an ongoing Care on Film Series, where we’ll share opportunities to see care stories on film. These kinds of conversations are so necessary. Because when we see care, we see ourselves.
Make sure to save your spot and RSVP for this free event now. [[link removed]]
See you there!
