"Associating with and speaking before groups that are funded by US-designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying."

New York's Mike Lawler has called for the removal of progressive Rep. Rashida Tlaib [ [link removed] ](D-MI) after she gave a speech at the People’s Conference for Palestine, an event that recieved funding and support from a US-designated terrorist organization. Japan, Canada, and the European Union have also recognized the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine to be a terror group.
Following her remarks and the revelation that the conference was supported by a terrorist organization, Rep Mike Lawler (R-NY) called for Tlaib to be "removed from Congress immediately," saying that "Associating with and speaking before groups that are funded by US-designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying."
On Saturday, Tlaib gave the surprise speech at the “People’s Conference for Palestine” at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit. The group is sponsored by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a Marxist-Leninist terrorist organization headquartered in the Syrian capital of Damascus, according to the Jerusalem Post [ [link removed] ].
During the speech, Tlaib [ [link removed] ] slammed Democratic President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war. “President Biden says what’s happening in Gaza is not a genocide. Where’s your red line, President Biden?” she said to the crowd as they booed the president.

Synchronized marching, worshipping the Palestinian flag & singing as if they are attending a communist North Korean parade. [ [link removed] ]
“Every single bullet, every single gun, every single weapon, bombs that we send, is a sacrifice of our own schools here at home," the first female Palestinian American to serve in Congress continued.
Tlaib, who has a history of antisemitic statements and of showing support for Palestinian terror group Hamas [ [link removed] ], claimed that anti-Israel activists are owed an apology stating, “I’ll be damned if I wait 10 years before they apologize to all of you for doing what was right at this moment.”
She continued, “It is disgraceful that the Biden administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear them for protesting to save lives no matter faith or ethnicity. It is cowardly. But we’re not gonna forget in November, are we?”
Last week, a prosecutor at the International Criminal Court announced that the court seeks arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, as well as other Hamas leaders. Biden criticized the move from the ICC and stated that Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip was “not genocide.” The war between Israel and the terror group began when Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering 1,200 and kidnapping over 200. While some of those hostages have been released, the fate of many remaining is unknown.
Tlaib slammed Biden’s statement saying, “Attacking the authority of the International Criminal Court and interfering in the legal process is nothing more — nothing more — than an attempt to prevent the genocidal maniac Netanyahu and his senior Israeli officials from being held accountable for those crimes against humanity. You are an enabler, President Biden.”
