The 2020 Census is now live! Your participation in this once-a-decade survey is crucial for helping to provide equal political representation and funding for vital social programs and services, such as affordable housing and Medicare, that LGBTQ people and other marginalized communities especially rely on. New York State recently passed the Child-Parent Security Act, which supports and protects LGBTQ families and others who rely on assisted reproductive technology in order to become parents. The legislation removes outdated barriers to parenthood, finally bringing New York State law in line with modern medical science and legal best practices that have been adopted across the country. We were proud to work alongside lawmakers and fellow advocates to champion this effort to protect and advance the rights of LGBTQ people who simply desire to have a family.
