At a time when the American public feels overwhelmed by economic turmoil, civil unrest, and attacks on what used to be unquestioned American values, two decidedly different worldviews are being showcased with every speech of former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden. As Mollie Hemingway ([link removed]) points out, the two men could not be more different in their depiction of the country which they seek to lead. Biden rails against America and Americans as being evil, racist, and hopelessly backward. Trump, on the other hand, sees a country that is filled with honest, hardworking people who can accomplish anything they need to do for their families if bureaucrats will just get out of their way. Having a president who actually likes the country and its citizens would be a relief in the next four years. Reprinted with permission. Pat Daugherty, Ed.D.
