When Donald Trump was in Minnesota raising heaps of money for the state Republican Party this month, he repeated an outrageous lie that he “won” Minnesota in 2020, even though he lost by more than 200,000 votes.

John, this isn’t just a weird thing to say. It’s an affront to our democracy.

We cannot be complacent about the threat that Donald Trump poses to the future of our state and the entire country. Every poll this year shows Trump is already statistically tied with President Biden in Minnesota, and the attack ads haven’t even started running yet.

The reality is we have an extremely tough fight ahead of us over the next five months. As Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, I’m doing everything I can to sound the alarm and rally Democrats to the polls in Minnesota and across the country. But nothing we do is possible without your grassroots support.

To keep our budget on track, we still need to raise more than $15,000 by our end-of-month fundraising deadline on Friday. So, I’m reaching out to ask for a favor.
