Hey there —

I wanted to take a second to check back in.

If you’re feeling scared or uncertain about the future, know that you’re not alone — and know that I hear you.

We’ve been collecting stories from people about how the coronavirus has impacted them. If you’ve submitted one, thank you.

I’ve been spending time reading them, and calling some of you too.

Every day, I’ve been thinking about how this crisis is affecting people across our country. I can hardly find the words to express my gratitude for the health care workers, first responders, store clerks, and everyone on the front lines as we fight this virus. And my heart aches for the people who are sick, the workers who have lost income, small businesses, and everyone who is struggling right now.

It’s okay to be scared right now — people are losing their jobs, small businesses are closing, we’re all worried about our loved ones’ health, and families across the country are worried about what comes next.

I’m fighting to give Colorado the strong leadership we deserve right now. Sometimes, that starts with listening.

So, please, I want to hear from you.

I want to know how the coronavirus (COVID-19) has affected you and your loved ones. If you feel comfortable, please share your story here. [[link removed]]

If you're willing, we’d love to share these stories, too. Chances are someone else is experiencing something similar to what you’re going through. Even if we’re all keeping our distance from each other, it doesn’t mean we have to go through this alone.

Before the end of my first term as Governor, Colorado faced historic floods, ravaging wildfires, and tragic acts of gun violence. In those times — and right now — I’ve seen the pain in our people and communities. But I’ve also seen us come together and get through difficult times by lifting each other up.

As we fight this crisis, I’ll be thinking about you — and everyone across our state who is struggling. We’re in this together.

Sending all my best,

John
