Despite the dysfunction of the House, I’m proud to have worked with both Republicans and Democrats to pass legislation to lower drug costs for seniors, take real action to combat climate change, tackle the epidemic of gun violence, and codify same-sex marriage into federal law – all while being the first LGBTQ+ Native American woman to serve in Congress.

And that’s exactly the type of approach that NewDems takes– We are solution-oriented. We fight for commonsense solutions to the real problems working families face, rising above extreme partisanship to deliver real results.

But here’s the hard reality: without a majority in the House, we can’t pass critical legislation on issues like climate change, affordable childcare, and more.
