John, Trump has been indicted 88 times in four criminal cases.
Many Americans believe Trump should be disqualified from running for president due to his crimes.
But now Trump argues that he should receive full immunity for any crimes committed during his presidency: even those committed in an unofficial capacity, including his actions on January 6th.
Trump’s charges are serious. He stole classified documents and incited a mob leading to the insurrection at the Capitol and attempted to overturn a legitimate election.
Trump has run away from accountability for his actions repeatedly, but the US Supreme Court must not grant him immunity.
The presidency is the highest office in the country. It demands an ethical leader that cares about the country and follows the law. To excuse Trump’s crimes would be criminal and catastrophic. No one, especially a president, is above the law.
