Get grassroots support today Indivisibles,
While Trump is in NYC today listening to closing arguments for his hush money trial, we’re paving the way to a future that is more ethical, caring, and democratic by announcing round three of our Local Voices, Local Power endorsements.
Local Voices, Local Power is our group-driven endorsements program that puts money and resources into our local groups’ hands to power wins for Democratic champions all across the country, up and down the ballot.
Check out our third round of candidates, the groups who endorsed them, and a quick summation of why they endorsed in their own words:
Tanneshia Dukes is endorsed by Indivisible Guilford County. Dukes would be replacing a Republican who never adequately represented the district, was one of the architects of the infamous HB-2 ("The Bathroom Bill"), and has been a strong proponent of gerrymandering and school vouchers. Tanneshia, on the other hand, is fighting for all the right things -- the real issues that impact North Carolinians:
- Education -- she is a former assistant principal who believes in fully funding public education, including early childhood education and increasing teacher pay.
- Voting rights -- she believes in making it easier for people to cast their ballots in order to allow democracy to thrive in North Carolina.
- Economic development -- she believes in focusing on sustainable ways to use ARPA funds, including investments in long-term infrastructure.
- Maternal/Women’s Rights -- shoring up the childcare crisis and focusing on bodily autonomy.
These progressive values are in direct contrast to her MAGA Republican opponent.

Herb Jones is endorsed by Williamsburg JCC Indivisible. Jones has lived a life of dedication and loyalty to his country, even in his post-military career. He has proven he can rise to the occasion when tested -- he doesn't need to learn how to make the right choice because he already makes them! Herb has always put his country first and recognizes there are red lines one should never cross in pursuit of one's career. His choices in life show us the content of his character. He has proven over and over again he will always honor his oaths. We trust him not only to represent us with utmost integrity in Congress, we also trust him with our lives.
Herb has stood by our side on the frontlines for eight years, helping to lead the charge at rallies and marches for democracy, women's rights (including copious hours in Richmond helping to make Virginia the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment), Handmaids demonstrations, the freedom of choice, January 6th vigils, support of Ukraine, anti-gun violence, voting rights, immigration, infrastructure, LGBTQIA+ rights, the filibuster, the MAGA Default Crisis, the fight for DC Statehood, climate action, healthcare, fair wages, and more. We are living in a precarious age which allows no time for a learning curve. We need a candidate who is ready on day one to serve our nation and that candidate in VA-01 is Retired Colonel Herb Jones!!!

Our groups’ latest endorsements are a sign of their commitment to finding and supporting candidates who reflect a Democratic ideal that will drive the sorts of change we desperately need. Whether that’s enshrining reproductive freedoms on a federal level, or fighting for the dignity of all people across a single city, we are looking for true Democratic fighters who will defend democracy and champion the will of the people come November.
