John,
Democracy is at stake. Elections at every level this November will decide what kind of society we build for current and future generations: Do we want to live in a country that makes health care more affordable and reduces the cost of prescription drugs for millions of people? Do we want to live in a country with humane immigration and asylum policies? Or do we want to live in a country that stokes fear and division across racial, economic, and political party lines?
Right now, due to racist voter suppression laws and due to billionaires and corporations spending unlimited sums of money to influence our elections, our voting rights and our democracy are under relentless attack―and the impact is far from equal. Voter suppression laws disproportionately target communities of color and low-income communities, effectively creating a two-tiered system of citizenship. In 2023, 14 states enacted 17 voter suppression laws to make it much more difficult to register and to vote.1
That’s why we have launched our “Vote for Human Needs” campaign to reach vulnerable and infrequent voters in these communities to ensure everyone makes their voice heard.
Donate $5 today to fight back against voter suppression laws and to make sure that every eligible voter is able to have their voice heard at the ballot box this November.

This Thursday, we’re hosting our first letter writing party of the 2024 election in coordination with our friends at Vote Forward. We’ll be writing to infrequent voters in the critical states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Your support of our “Vote for Human Needs” campaign today is helping fight for a truly representative democracy where all of our voices are heard―not just those on top.
