Dear John,
It's happening right now. As you're reading this, the World Health Assembly is meeting in Geneva, Switzerland to -- among other things -- work on a "pandemic agreement" and amendments to the International Health Regulations.
I've written to you extensively about what exactly the pandemic agreement means for our national sovereignty, our families, and our freedom of speech. These agreements cede too much power to the WHO and constitute an external takeover of America's ability to remain a free and autonomous country whenever the WHO declares an emergency.
Make no mistake, this agreement is a direct affront to America's national sovereignty, and our freedoms. Tragically, it's being aided and abetted by the Biden administration's complete disregard for the interests of the American people. President Biden is failing to inform the American people what his administration is attempting to do, so we will attempt to shine a light on what's happening!
Family Research Council has been working to sound the alarm about this agreement for months. We strongly believe that our best strategy to stop this agreement in its tracks is to reveal the truth about what the WHO is planning.
Even if the WHO develops a plan to advance the agreement this week, that isn't the end of the story. We still have time to force the Biden administration to put any such agreement to a vote in the Senate, as our Constitution requires of treaties (which this agreement basically is). In fact, bills are working their way through Congress which would force Biden to do exactly that.
When I spoke with Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wisc.) on Washington Watch, he told me that, "H.R. 1425, the 'No WHO' bill, is gaining steam. Every Republican Senator has signed on to this bill. It originally had 14 cosigners... If we're going to sign an 'agreement' that's a treaty for all intents and purposes, it should be required to go through a [Senate] vote, which would require a two-thirds majority."
He also added that "We should not be entering into international accords with a corrupt organization that serves at the behest of communist China."
Rep. Tiffany is right. But the Biden administration is determined to bypass our Senate, our laws, and our Constitution. We still have time to force the Biden administration to obey the law. But we need your help.
This week kicks off Family Research Council's Defending the Faith Campaign, where your gift will be doubled thanks to generous friends of FRC who have put forward a $2.5 Million Matching Challenge!
That means your gift will be matched, dollar for dollar, so that you can make twice the impact for faith, family, and freedom.
When you give, we'll send you an official "Defending the Faith" certificate designating you as a defender of the faith. Plus, for gifts of $100+, we will add your name to our "Defending the Faith" plaque at FRC's headquarters as a testament to your faithfulness to take a bold stand for biblical truth.
Will you stand with FRC in defending the faith and exposing the WHO at this critical time?
DOUBLE MY IMPACT
As you know, the legacy media is ignoring the threat by the WHO. To ensure we know what the delegates at the World Health Assembly are doing this week and can alert concerned Americans in real time, we have dispatched one of our own, FRC's Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs and Policy Editor for The Washington Stand, Travis Weber, to Geneva to monitor the situation and provide us with boots-on-the-ground information.
He told me on last Thursday's edition of Washington Watch, "It's important that FRC is going to Geneva to help bring a Christian perspective to this [situation] and to help Christians think through this."
But, John, even though this agreement may be advanced in some way soon, that doesn't mean our hands are tied.
Right now, they should be lifted up in prayer.
In Scripture, our Lord tells us that "if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them" (Matt. 18:19-20).
That's why FRC is calling on all faithful Christians to come before the Lord in prayer that any designs of the WHO and other global organizations that are NOT aligned with the Lord and his purposes would be stopped.
To help you pray with us, FRC is offering a new prayer guide on the WHO. As you come before the Lord to pray for America and that that His will would be accomplished at the World Health Assembly, we believe that this would be an invaluable resource to help guide your prayers. Thankfully, the tide is turning against the WHO.
Over the last couple weeks, Britain and Slovakia have come out saying they will reject the WHO's "Pandemic Agreement" as it currently stands. Now, the African Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family Values and Sovereignty, a body of conservative leaders from various African Countries, have also come out strongly against the WHO and this agreement.
But even as more countries turn against the WHO, we have to keep up the pressure if we're going to stop them.
We've been taking a stand against the WHO for months. But that's just one way in which FRC has been taking a stand for biblical truth, advancing faith, family, and freedom, and ultimately defending the faith.
Since 1983, we've stood on the frontlines of these key cultural battles. Now, we're calling on faithful Christians across the country to stand with us and defend the faith in public policy, in our culture, and in our halls of government.
Because of generous friends of FRC, you can double your impact when you give and join our Defending the Faith campaign, thanks to a $2.5 Million Challenge Match. Every dollar you give from now until June 30th will be matched, making your gift go twice as far!
And remember, as a thank you for your gift, we'll send you an official "Defending the Faith" certificate designating you as a defender of the faith. Plus, for gifts of $100+, we will add your name to our "Defending the Faith" plaque at FRC's headquarters.
PARTNER WITH FRC
The WHO is far from the only threat that we face. All across the globe, hostility against God's Word is increasing. But our decision to take a stand against the WHO, sound the alarm, and rally faithful Christians against their unbiblical designs is just one of the ways in which FRC is defending the faith in public policy.
To defend the faith in today's culture means we believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that we work to:
- Protect marriage as a God-ordained institution between only one man and one woman
- Advocate for a biblical definition of our human sexuality as being created male and female
- Advance parental rights to nurture and protect children and our families
- Oppose the indoctrination of our children in public schools
- Champion the right to life and protect the unborn
- Prioritize our Judeo-Christian foundations as necessary to maintain our constitutional freedoms
- And so much more
For more than forty years, Family Research Council has been defending the faith on the front lines of public policy in Washington, D.C. and across America. There has never been a more important time to take a stand for biblical truth.
Will you join us?
Remember, from now until June 30, your gift will have 2X the impact thanks to generous friends of FRC.
Thank you for your faithfulness to biblical truth and for defending the faith with FRC.
