It’s a pivotal time for the trans community. We’ve already seen hundreds of anti-LGBTQ bills introduced in state legislatures across the country—most attacking the livelihood of trans folks. And we’re asking you to take a minute to donate $20 to support the National Center for Transgender Equality to stop them in their tracks.
Though there are fewer attacks this year, more are making their way to implementation. In just one week, Utah passed a bill banning trans people from using bathrooms that matches who they are and officials in Florida revoked trans peoples’ ability to update gender markers on driver’s licenses and ID cards.
Anti-trans lawmakers are working to restrict trans rights at every turn, but NCTE is there to fight each and every battle. Though we have not and will not win them all, we will keep fighting. Each and every one. Because even though not every one of these bills will become law, they all cause harm to trans people. Each and every one.
