John,
No matter who you are or what you do, you can be called for jury duty in the United States — even if you’re running for public office.
I ’m no exception, and today, I’m heading to one of Miami-Dade’s courthouses to report for jury duty. Funnily enough, the very office I’m running for, Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, issues jury summonses in Miami-Dade!
I’m proud to fulfill my civic responsibility, but it means I am off the campaign trail for the day and unable to talk to voters or raise money for my campaign — and I might be out for even longer if I’m selected to serve on a jury.
I'm counting on your help now more than ever to help our team expand our digital reach and build more support while I am proudly fulfilling my civic duty.
The end-of-quarter fundraising report is due in just THREE days, and I’m hoping you can chip in to help us stay on track with our fundraising goal. [[link removed]]

Today is a great opportunity, but it also presents a challenge for us. I usually spend time each day reaching out to folks to see if they can support our campaign, and today, I won’t be able to do that.
That’s why I’m reaching out — I’m hoping you can chip in to help us stay on track before the end of month. Can you click here to make a contribution? [[link removed]]
Thanks for your support,
Annette
