These are tough times, and I have heard from many of you struggling right now. Please know that you are not alone. There are organizations stepping up in amazing ways, and we’d like to help however we can. Our resource page is up and running: [link removed]

For those of us who are maybe at home and feeling unsteady, I encourage you to look to charities helping out the community in this district. If you can at this time, please consider a donation to a Minnesota charity working to assist our friends and neighbors right now. Here are a few we’ve found:

-Meals on Wheels America is working hard to meet food needs at this time as well as protect our elderly population. You can donate to our local branch by searching by your zip code.

-The Damiano Center in Duluth is providing bagged meals, curbside pick up style, during all regular meal times from their 2nd Ave W entrance. You can help out by donating items or contributing financially.

-Second Harvest Heartland is preparing emergency food boxes for Minnesotans in need. You can make a donation to support their efforts.

And remember: this crisis will not last forever. Keep doing what you can to flatten the curve, and come January 2021, we’re going to elect officials with the foresight and experience to lead us through the aftermath of this crisis. We’re in this together.
