For the past seven months, people in Gaza have lived each day in terror and grief. The health system is in a state of total collapse and basic necessities such as fuel, water, and food are nearly impossible to obtain.

But as any woman can attest, periods do not stop while these women and girls navigate the life-threatening dangers of emergencies like the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

We deliver lifesaving care in the most dangerous, isolated, and complex crises in the form of Dignity Kits so that even in emergencies, women and girls can manage their periods with dignity. UNFPA Dignity Kits include menstrual pads, underwear, soap, laundry detergent, and other menstrual hygiene supplies that are essential, but inaccessible to many women and girls right now.

UNFPA has been on the ground in Gaza since 1986 and from the moment that conflict escalated in October, we began distributing Dignity Kits. Since then, UNFPA has distributed more than 134,000 Dignity Kits to women and girls throughout the violence-torn region thanks to your generous gifts.
