At Jane PAC we know the most successful movements are built from the ground up, not the top down. That’s why we’re pouring so much time, effort, and resources into expanding our grassroots organizing efforts, and we’re excited to share some of our strategy with you. Real change doesn’t come from a slick TV ad; it happens when neighbors talk to neighbors, and when friends mobilize their friend group.

In the weeks and months to come, we are building a volunteer-led voter contact field program that will drive turnout in the races that will have an outsized impact on climate policy. We are going to be recruiting volunteers, identifying pro-climate voters, canvassing, phonebanking, postcarding, distributing yard signs, hosting meetings, throwing rallies, and more. We need the pro-climate vote to be loud, visible, and organized. But we need a lot of financial support to build the robust grassroots movement we need.

We’re confident that members of this community are willing to generously contribute their time to a meaningful cause. In order to honor that commitment and maximize the impact of their work, we need to invest significant resources up front to get started — like the software we need to access the voter databases in our targeted districts, additional staff capacity, canvassing & phone banking tools, and more.

This is a multi-phased campaign, and we need to get started as soon as possible. We are identifying and talking to voters about our climate champions, and then getting them out to vote before polls close on Election Day. It sounds simple and straightforward, and in many ways it is, but it is a lot of work that will require significant people-hours between now and Election Day.
