BREAKING: Democratic Party names Texas a critical battleground state of 2020.

We have a huge opportunity, John: The Democratic Party just declared Texas a 2020 battleground state. Democrats CAN finally flip Texas blue, but ONLY if we invest in candidates who can win.

That's why Emerge just launched a brand new affiliate in Texas: to recruit and (virtually!) train Democratic women to run for office and defeat GOP extremists up and down the ballot.

But in the midst of everything that's going on, getting a new affiliate running smoothly is a lot of work - and a lot of money - so right now, we need to raise another $5,000 to give Emerge Texas the support it needs in these early days. If you care about powering Democratic victories across the South, and you're financially able right now, then I need you to step up for Emerge.

Will you donate $5 or more to our Emerge Texas Launch Fund right now and help women power the Democratic comeback in Texas?

The Guardian has called Emerge a leader in "the push to put Democratic women in power for the long haul" - because we've proven we can win, even in the toughest, reddest districts in the nation.

Emerge alums helped flip BOTH houses of the Virginia Legislature from red to blue - and we're ready to pull off even bigger Democratic upsets in Texas, like electing Wendy Davis to Congress. But we can't keep recruiting and training Democratic women in must-win Southern states without your help. So please, if you can, make a donation right now:
