John — I’ve shared a great deal about this race for governor. You’ve heard about our vision for a brighter future, my opponent’s extremism, our differing priorities, and more. But today, there are just a few things I want to make sure you know before I ask for your support: 1️⃣ This is the MOST competitive & consequential gubernatorial contest of 2024. 2️⃣ It is Republicans’ top target for flipping a Governor’s Office, so they’re investing significant resources and energy into defeating me. 3️⃣ A small number of voters could decide this race. Whoever is more successful in exciting our supporters and reaching out to undecided voters will have a BIG advantage. John, we’re three days out from our May fundraising deadline, and we need to increase our donation rate ASAP if we’re going to hit our goal. Our campaign has significant plans for voter outreach over the coming months, but we cannot enact them without raising the resources we’ve planned on. Falling short of our May goal could force us to cut back.
