Congresswoman Diana DeGette Visits Ludeman Center

A longtime advocate for women’s health, Diana participated in a roundtable at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to learn more about research on women's health and sex differences.

“I think that CU Anschutz is getting more recognition at the highest levels of the NIH,” DeGette said of the National Institutes of Health, which provided $322.3 million in funding for campus research during fiscal year 2023. “The interdisciplinary research happening here is what we in Congress have been trying to encourage.”

Over 64,000 Denver households have lead pipes. New federal funds will replace them.

The investment is part of a $15 billion package through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Diana released a statement saying, “I voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to send funding to communities like those in Colorado’s First District to replace lead pipes and improve the health of my constituents.”
