Hi John, [link removed] [[link removed]]
Gun violence prevention is really about one thing: people. You and I understand that all people deserve to live a life free of violence and that we must rally together with this message.
That’s why we’d like to invite you to join us and others across the country to observe National Gun Violence Prevention Weekend, June 7-9.
On Friday, June 7, people across the country will wear orange [[link removed]] for National Gun Violence Awareness Day, and, throughout the weekend, events across Wisconsin will offer opportunities to come together in solidarity.
Here are some of the Wisconsin events; come add your voice to the thousands across the country!

This year’s event centers around healing a local community impacted by violence. A memorial mural–a collaboration between DAMA (Developing Artist Murals and Alliances), the residents of Harmony Apartments, and the wider community–will be unveiled during the evening. Please join us for this family-friendly community event with food trucks, kids’ activities, music, and guest speakers.

Friday, June 7, 5:30 p.m .
On Wear Orange weekend, join Moms Demand Action for an interactive training session to practice how we talk about gun safety and gun violence prevention. Babysitting and snacks will be provided. Ready to go out and raise awareness? Need to get your “elevator pitch” ready?! Let’s learn the words of our movement and practice in a safe environment, while getting to know fellow volunteers.
Remember, even if there’s not an event near you, you can still wear orange [[link removed]] in solidarity!
